Parkinson’s Research - Sergy Brin of Google is matching $50 million dollars

A $50–million challenge, now in effect, matches all new or increased giving to The Michael J. Fox Foundation on a dollar–for–dollar basis. Take advantage of the opportunity to make your gift go even further toward improved treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
The Challenge has been made possible by a leadership gift from Sergey Brin and Anne Wojcicki.
THE BRIN WOJCICKI CHALLENGE: HOW IT WORKS
The Brin Wojcicki Challenge will increase The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s capacity to streamline and fund targeted research toward breakthrough treatments for Parkinson’s disease. The challenge provides a dollar-for-dollar match of gifts at any level in the following categories:
- Gifts from new donors – entire gift will be matched.
If you have never given to The Michael J. Fox Foundation before, your gift of $25 is now worth $50 to help us speed a cure. Your recurring gift of $10/month is worth $240 after one calendar year. Your tribute gift of $5,000 is worth $10,000. - Returning/lapsed donors’ gifts – entire gift will be matched.
If you have not given to The Michael J. Fox Foundation since 2009 or earlier, your gift now will be matched just like that of a new donor (see examples above). - Current donors’ increased gifts – increase amount will be matched.
If you are a current donor to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, please consider increasing your giving level, as any increase over last year’s total giving will be matched dollar–for–dollar. If you gave a total of $50 in 2010 and now give $75, the increase of $25 will be worth $50, so your total gift is worth $100 to MJFF. If you gave $500 last year and now give $1000, your gift is worth $1500 in the fight for improved treatments and a cure.
